Fowler family update time! Here we go!
Hello y’all!
October was a whirlwind! It’s been a crazy pregnancy, and I thought maybe, just maybe, we’d be in for a Halloween baby!
Here we are, however. It’s November 5th, and still, no new Baby Fowler. I guess that’s that.
I have been involved in so many projects since the beginning of the school year. I started working on them during the summer, so that I could be prepared for the school year.
I prepared grade books, lesson plans, supplemental materials, behavior outlines, etc. etc. When August rolled around, I was ready for 5th grade to begin!
I also started uploading some of those materials to Teachers Pay Teachers and began my entrepreneurial journey. It’s made me around $300 since I started, for which I’ve been grateful.
But then October really slowed me down. I found myself dealing with an unexpected grade switch, and I also found out that I was terribly anemic–and had been for quite some time.
I would feel like passing out after walking just a few steps, dizziness became my constant companion, and when I got home in the evenings, I couldn’t think straight. I spent all my weekends sleeping. All my projects came to a halt.
Mostly due to the anemia, pregnancy has really been taking a toll. As I approach my due date, it’s been harder and harder to tell the “fake” contractions from real ones, because they’ve become rather persistent and painful. I’ve already rushed to the hospital for two false alarms!
But Baby Fowler #3 will come when he or she is ready (it’s a surprise on the gender)! And I’ve got to accept that.
My longterm sub plans are written. I’ve gotten my FMLA paperwork completed. There’s a few things I’m waiting on, but they’ll sort themselves out. I want the baby to come, and I want him or her (we like surprises) to feel welcome.
